A qualified carpenter, joiner and licenced building practitioner, Scott has more than 30 years of professional experience in construction and brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to his role.
Scott has worked on a variety of exciting projects around the world, such as the Rotterdam Casino, the Tulip Hotel in Amsterdam, yacht building in Holland, and the restoration of the historic Stobo Castle in Scotland. Scott has been building in Canterbury for the last 16 years on a variety of commercial and residential contracts.
Scott’s attention to detail and proactive approach ensures projects run smoothly and efficiently on site.
As a licensed building practitioner and a qualified carpenter/joiner, Darrin has 25 years of construction experience both in New Zealand and overseas. Darrin has been involved in a variety of professional roles including previously establishing and running his own construction firm in Scotland, before moving to New Zealand with his young family.
Darrin has had extensive experience working on historic buildings, such as Culzean Castle and Dumfries House in Scotland.
Darrin is generally the first point of contact for clients . He prides himself on being honest and up front.
Senior Quantity Surveyor
Following a managerial role in the waste management industry, Nick re-trained, undertaking a diploma in quantity surveying and was awarded as the graduating year two student by the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
For the last 14 years Nick has worked in construction, both in New Zealand and the UK. He has provided quantity surveying services on a variety of projects particularly on architectural homes and commercial projects.
Nick’s expertise lies in the provision of tailored solutions to meet the individual needs of our clients and his hands on approach ensures clients can be rest assured their project is being carefully serviced throughout the contract.
As a qualified carpenter, joiner and licenced building practitioner, Barry started work at BD Construction as a Foreman Carpenter in 2013, he then moved into the role of Project Manager. His prior experience includes working on new builds, renovations, multi-story flats, historic buildings and on commercial projects in Scotland.
Barry is able to plan, organise, direct, control and co-ordinate construction of building projects, and the physical and human resources in the construction process.
Barry interfaces well with clients and is able to build and maintain lasting positive relationships. He has the skills necessary to manage a project with associates while keeping a close eye on budget, scope and risk.
